Agents
Save, publish, and roll back
Publish agent changes to make edited instructions live. Roll back to an earlier version at any time.
The Instructions tab keeps a private draft apart from the live version. Your edits reach callers and chats only after you publish. Every other tab saves at once and takes effect when you click Save. Nuteq AI keeps every version you publish, so you can roll back later.
Save and publish your instructions
- Edit the prompt in the Instructions tab.
- Click Save draft. This writes your changes to the draft only. The live agent keeps the last published version.
- Optional. Click Test draft to hear the changes with a call or chat before anyone else does.
- Click Publish. The draft becomes the live version everywhere the agent answers. Nuteq AI keeps the version it replaced.
How other settings save
Voice and languages, Actions, Channels, and Vocabulary each have their own Save button. They have no publish step. A saved change, such as a new voice or booking turned on, applies to the next call or message.
Roll back to an earlier version
When you publish instructions, Nuteq AI archives the version it replaces. It does not delete it.
- Open the Instructions tab.
- Choose Version history from its menu. You see past versions with status and date.
- Click Roll back next to an archived version.
Nuteq AI publishes that version as the new live one at once, on every channel. The version you rolled back from becomes archived. You lose nothing.
Roll back when a recent change does not work. For example, the agent starts to decline requests it handled before.
Troubleshooting
- Publish is disabled. Save your draft first. Nuteq AI does not publish instructions that have unsaved changes.
- The prompt has a placeholder, such as your business name in curly braces. Replace it with the real value before you publish.

Frequently asked questions
- Do my edits go live the moment I type them?
- Only for settings other than instructions. Typing in the Instructions tab saves to a private draft. Callers hear the old version until you click Publish.
- What happens to changes on the other tabs, like voice or actions?
- Those tabs have their own Save button. Changes take effect when you save. There is no draft or publish step.
- Can I undo a change after I publish it?
- Yes. Nuteq AI keeps every published version. Open version history and roll back to an earlier version. The rollback publishes that version as the new live one.
