Improve your agent
Teach your agent an answer for a missed question, review what it learned, and add words it mishears. Use the Improve tab.
Improve is the tab in the agent editor where you review what your agent could not handle on real calls and fix it. After each call, Nuteq AI reads the transcript for:
- Questions the agent could not answer.
- Answers that a caller pushed back on.
- Business words that a caller had to spell letter by letter.
Each one becomes a card under Needs you. A taught answer or an added word takes effect on the next call.
Your agent knows only what you told it and what is in its knowledge base. A real caller will ask something you did not plan for. Improve gives you a short list to check now and then. Nuteq AI usually drafts a starting answer. You read it, change it, and approve it.
Questions your agent could not answer
An unanswered question is one that your agent could not answer, put off, or offered to take a message for. The card shows:
- The question as the caller asked it.
- How many separate callers asked something similar.
- After you open it, the part of the call it came from, with a link to the recording.
Questions with more callers show first. One answer closes every open card that asks the same thing.
A question stays in the list until you teach an answer or dismiss it. It does not expire. The agent gives the same response until you act. Tap Dismiss to remove a card. The card can return if a later caller words the question very differently.
Teach an answer
A taught answer turns a question the agent could not handle into a reply it gives on the next call. You need the Owner or Admin role, or another role that can edit the agent. This changes what the agent says to callers.
- Open the agent, click Improve, and stay on the Needs you tab.
- Click a card. You see the question, the call it came from, and what the agent said if a caller flagged the answer as wrong.
- Read the suggested answer. Nuteq AI drafts one for most cards from the agent's instructions and knowledge base. Change it to sound like your business. If there is no draft, write your own.
- Click Teach agent. The card moves to the Learned tab.
Write the answer as you would say it to the caller. Keep it short and specific. Correct anything that is wrong for your business before you teach it.
- Teach agent is gray. The answer box is empty.
- A card is stuck drafting. Refresh, or click Retry.
- Several callers asked variations. Teaching one card closes only that exact question. Handle the others one by one.
Answers your agent learned
The Learned tab lists every question you taught. Each card shows the answer the agent now gives and the date you taught it. The card shows the current wording in your agent's knowledge, not the text you first typed.
The first time you teach an answer, Nuteq AI creates a knowledge base named Self-Learned. All taught answers are stored there, so you can find and edit them as a group. Each card has an Edit in knowledge button that opens its entry.
If someone removes the entry in the knowledge base, the card says the answer is no longer in knowledge. It keeps a record of what you taught. See Fix incorrect answers to correct an answer in your knowledge base.
To remove a learned answer, open the card and click Remove learned answer. Nuteq AI removes the knowledge entry and returns the question to Needs you. The agent gives its earlier response until you teach it something new.
Words your agent keeps mishearing
Nuteq AI notices when a caller spells a business word, product name, or uncommon term letter by letter. This usually means the agent misheard it. After two separate calls spell the same word, a card appears under Words to add, above the questions on the Needs you tab.
Nuteq AI skips names, email addresses, and phone numbers. These are personal information, not business words.
- Read the word and how many callers spelled it.
- Click Add to vocabulary if it is a real business term. Click No thanks if it is not.
Each agent shows up to 5 open suggestions. When you add or dismiss one, Nuteq AI can propose another. A dismissal is final.
Adding a word helps the agent hear it correctly. It does not change how the agent says the word. To change that, add the word on the Vocabulary tab and fill in "Pronounce it as".

Frequently asked questions
- Where do I find Improve for my agent?
- Open the agent in the agent editor and click Improve in the left menu. It is next to Knowledge and Vocabulary.
- Does Nuteq AI change my agent's answers on its own?
- No. Nuteq AI only drafts a suggested answer for you to read. Nothing reaches your agent until you click Teach agent to approve an answer or Add to vocabulary to approve a word.
- What happens if I remove a learned answer?
- Nuteq AI removes the knowledge entry. The question returns to Needs you, as if you never answered it. Callers get the agent's earlier response again.
- Do improve recommendations change my agent automatically?
- No. Nothing is added to your agent's knowledge or vocabulary until you review a recommendation and approve it. If you dismiss one, it does not return for the same question or word.
- How does Nuteq AI decide a word should be suggested?
- A caller spelled the word letter by letter. This usually means the agent got it wrong. Nuteq AI waits until this happens on two separate calls before it suggests the word. A single call does not trigger a suggestion.
