Plan limits
Nuteq plan limits set how many agents, knowledge bases, documents, team members, and calls at once each plan allows, and what happens at a limit.
In Nuteq, plan limits set how many agents, knowledge bases, documents and team members your workspace can have, and how many calls and text replies it can handle at the same time. Each plan has its own limits, and a few limits are the same on every plan. Monthly and yearly billing have the same limits, and minutes, messages and prices are on Billing and plans.
What are the limits on each plan?
The table shows what each plan allows in one workspace. Free is the 14 day trial that every new workspace starts on.
| Limit | Free | Solo | Team | Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calls at once | 1 | 2 | 4 | 10 |
| Phone numbers | None | 3 | 5 | 15 |
| Agents | 1 | 2 | 5 | 20 |
| Knowledge bases | 1 | 3 | 10 | 50 |
| Documents, across all knowledge bases | 20 | 100 | 500 | 2,000 |
| Team members, including pending invites | 2 | 2 | 5 | 20 |
| Text replies being written at once | 2 | 5 | 15 | 50 |
What does each limit count?
Each limit counts only the items you have now, so deleting an item frees its place right away.
- Calls at once counts every live call, including phone calls, WhatsApp calls, website voice calls, test calls from the dashboard and campaign calls.
- Phone numbers is the most numbers your workspace can have. Your plan includes some of them, and each number past the included ones has a monthly price.
- Agents counts every agent in your workspace, whether or not it is connected to a channel.
- Knowledge bases counts every knowledge source list, including the one Nuteq creates for answers it learns from your replies.
- Documents counts every file, web page and text source across all of your knowledge bases. Replacing a document with a new version doesn't use another place.
- Team members counts people who have joined your workspace plus invites that haven't been accepted and haven't expired.
- Text replies being written at once counts replies your agents are writing at the same moment across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and website chat.
Which limits are the same on every plan?
Some limits keep the platform fast for everyone, so they don't change when you upgrade. If you need more of one of them, contact support.
| Limit | Every plan |
|---|---|
| Actions per agent | 30 |
| Webhooks per agent | 10 |
| Vocabulary words per agent | 100 |
| Published website widgets | 20 |
| SIP trunks | 50 |
| Website imports running at once | 2 |
| Files processing at once | 5 |
What happens when you reach a limit?
When you try to add one more item than your plan allows, Nuteq doesn't add it and shows this message, with the number and the item filled in:
You've reached your plan's limit of 5 agents. Upgrade to add more.
The message has an Upgrade button that opens Settings, then Billing. Everything you already have keeps working, and only the new item is refused.
The limits on things happening at the same time work differently, because Nuteq waits for a free place instead of refusing. For example, when every text reply place is busy, a new SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger message waits and gets its reply as soon as a place frees up, so no message is dropped. A website chat message waits up to 10 seconds, and the chat widget tries again a few times before it asks the visitor to wait. When website imports or file processing are full, you can add the next one after one of the running jobs finishes.
What happens if you downgrade?
A downgrade never deletes anything. If your workspace has more of an item than the new plan allows, you keep all of it, and it keeps working. You can't add more of that item until you are below the new limit, and the message shows how many you have and the new limit.
Phone numbers are the one exception, because a downgrade is refused when you have more numbers than the new plan allows. Billing and plans explains how to release numbers before you downgrade.
How do you get higher limits?
Upgrade your plan to get higher limits right away. First, open Settings, then Billing. Second, the workspace owner selects Change plan and picks a larger plan. The new limits apply to the next item you add, and you don't need to restart anything.
Only the workspace owner can change the plan, so admins and members should ask the owner to upgrade. If you need more than the Business plan allows, write to sales@nuteqai.com.

Frequently asked questions
- How many agents can I have on each Nuteq plan?
- Free allows 1 agent, Solo allows 2, Team allows 5, and Business allows 20. Monthly and yearly billing have the same limits.
- What happens when I reach a plan limit?
- Nuteq stops you from adding one more of that item and shows a message with the limit and an Upgrade button. Everything you already have keeps working.
- Do I lose agents or documents if I downgrade?
- No. A downgrade never deletes anything. If you have more than the new plan allows, you keep all of it, but you can't add more until you are under the new limit.
- Do pending invites count toward the team member limit?
- Yes. An invite that hasn't been accepted and hasn't expired takes a seat, so cancel old invites if you need the seat back.
