Check processing status

In Nuteq, every source you add to Knowledge shows a status so you know when your agent can use it. A document or piece of text moves from Uploading to Processing to Ready. A website shows how many of its pages have finished, since importing a site can process several pages at once.

Steps

First, open Knowledge from the dashboard. Second, find the source you added and read its Status column. Third, leave the page open. Nuteq checks again every few seconds on its own while a source is still uploading or processing, so the status updates without a manual refresh. Fourth, if the status shows Failed, click Retry on that row to try processing again, or replace the file with a corrected version.

What each status means

• Uploading means your file is still being sent to Nuteq.
• Processing means Nuteq is breaking the source into passages and indexing them for search.
• Ready means the source is fully indexed, and any agent connected to it can use it right away.
• Failed means processing could not finish. Retry it, or delete the source and add it again.

A website import shows page counts instead of a single word. "Indexing (2 of 5)" means 2 of the 5 pages Nuteq found are finished. "Ready (5 of 5)" means every page succeeded. "Error (1 of 5, 4 ready)" means one page failed while the other four are usable, so the agent can still answer from what did finish.

Troubleshooting

A source that fails right after upload usually means the file type wasn't accepted, or the connection dropped partway through, so try uploading it again. A source that fails during processing more often means the content itself couldn't be read, such as a password protected or corrupted file. From there, use Update or remove a source to replace it or remove it and start over.
