Add a website
Import a website into Nuteq by pasting its address into Knowledge so the agent crawls your pages and answers questions using their content.

In Nuteq, importing a website adds the pages of a site to your agent's knowledge base, so the agent can answer questions using the wording already on your site instead of you retyping it. You paste a web address into Knowledge, and Nuteq crawls the homepage plus the pages it links to, then indexes the content so the agent can search it.
Before you start
The address must be a normal public web page starting with http:// or https://; Nuteq blocks private, internal, or local network addresses. Importing crawls the homepage you enter and the pages it links to from there, not an entire site in one pass, so a page that isn't linked from the homepage needs its own address imported separately. Only owners and admins can import a website. Other team members can see it in the Knowledge list once it's added.
Steps
First, open Knowledge from the dashboard and select the Import website tab. Second, type your website address into the Website URL field, for example https://yourbusiness.com. Third, click Import. Fourth, watch the status column while Nuteq crawls the homepage and any pages it links to, and indexes each one for your agent to search.
Best practices
Point Nuteq at pages that already state your hours, pricing, and policies in plain text, since the agent quotes what is actually written on the page rather than summarizing it. Re-import the site after you update it, because Nuteq does not watch your site for changes on its own. To add a specific page that the homepage doesn't link to, or a second site entirely, run the import again with that address as a separate source.
Troubleshooting
If the import fails or shows an error for some pages, your agent still works. It answers without that content until you import again or add the same information as text; see Add text or an FAQ. Track progress from Check processing status, and once the source is ready, connect it to an agent from Connect knowledge to an agent.

Frequently asked questions
- Which pages of my website does Nuteq import?
- Nuteq crawls the homepage you enter plus the pages it links to from there. A page that isn't linked from the homepage needs its own address imported separately.
- Does Nuteq keep my website content up to date automatically?
- No. Nuteq imports the pages once, at the moment you click Import. If you change your website later, import it again so the agent's knowledge matches the current content.
- What happens to my agent if a website import fails?
- Your agent keeps working. It starts without that website's content until you import it again or add the same information as text under Knowledge.
