How Nuteq AI works
How Nuteq AI works: an AI agent answers your calls, texts, and website chats, books appointments or takes messages, and saves every conversation.
A customer calls your number, sends a message, or opens your website widget. An AI agent answers with the instructions and knowledge you gave it. The agent can answer questions, book appointments, take a message, or hand the conversation to a person. You see everything it did in your dashboard. You do not need to be online.
How does a call or message reach your agent?
A customer reaches your agent through a channel: a phone call, a text message, a WhatsApp message, or the website chat widget. Each channel is a separate entry to the same agent. You choose which channels to turn on. You can turn on more than one. Nuteq AI sends everything that arrives on a connected channel to your agent.
Nothing rings on your own phone unless you set up a transfer or a forwarding rule. Until then, the agent answers every time, on every connected channel.
How does the agent know what to say?
The agent follows a prompt. The prompt is a set of plain instructions that you write or pick from a template. It says who the agent speaks for, how it greets people, and how it handles common situations.
The agent also searches your knowledge base. The knowledge base holds documents, FAQs, and web pages about your business. This lets the agent give specific answers.
If the prompt and knowledge base do not cover a question, the agent says it does not know. Add the missing answer to your knowledge base. The agent uses it the next time.
What can the agent do besides talk?
Depending on what you turn on, the agent can:
- Book an appointment in your calendar.
- Save a caller's name and number as a lead for your team.
- Transfer the call to a person.
You choose the actions in the agent editor. A dentist might turn on booking and transfers. A business that only wants messages can turn booking off.
How do you see what happened?
Every call, text, and WhatsApp message appears in Conversations. You can read the transcript, listen to the recording, and see the outcome. A caller who leaves a phone number becomes a contact in your CRM. Your follow-up then starts with context.
You do not need to watch a live call. Check the outcome badge, the transcript, and the contact record when it suits you. If something sounded wrong, change the prompt or the knowledge.

Frequently asked questions
- Does a real person need to be watching when the agent answers?
- No. The agent answers on its own, day or night. You review each conversation later in Conversations. You can also take over a live call.
- What happens if the agent doesn't know the answer?
- It says it does not know. It does not guess. Depending on your setup, it can take a message or transfer the caller to a person.
- Can the agent handle more than one call at a time?
- Yes. Each caller or visitor gets a separate conversation, so the agent can answer many people at once.
