Set business hours and forward calls
Set each Nuteq number's weekly hours, or forward calls to your AI receptionist from your existing business line by dialing a short code.

In Nuteq, each phone number in Connections has its own weekly business hours and, separately, a way to forward calls from a number you already own so your Nuteq agent answers them instead. The two settings live in the same place but do different jobs: hours record when your business is open, forwarding decides which phone actually rings.
Set business hours for a number
Open Connections, go to the Phone tab, pick a number, and open its Settings. Under Business hours, toggle each day of the week on or off and set an opening and closing time for the days you're open, then pick the timezone that line should use. Click Save hours. This is a record of your schedule for that number. Your Nuteq agent still answers every call to that number at any hour. Nothing here sends after-hours calls to voicemail or another line on its own.
Forward an existing number to Nuteq
If you want to keep using your current business number with your current carrier, you can forward its calls to a Nuteq number so your agent picks them up. From Settings on the Nuteq number you want calls to land on, copy the forwarding code shown, which is *72 followed by that Nuteq number. Dial that code from the phone whose calls you want forwarded, listen for a confirmation beep or spoken message, and hang up. From then on, calls to your old number ring through to your Nuteq agent.
Turn forwarding off
Dial *73 from the same phone you forwarded. This cancels call forwarding on your carrier's side, and calls to that number ring on the phone itself again as before.
Troubleshooting
If dialing the forwarding code doesn't produce a confirmation beep or message, your carrier may use a different forwarding code or may not support conditional call forwarding on that plan. Check with your carrier directly. For other line issues, see Phone troubleshooting.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the agent stop answering outside business hours?
- No. Your Nuteq agent answers calls to its number at any hour. The hours you set on a line are a record of when your business is open, not a switch that turns the agent on or off.
- Will forwarding my old number cost me anything extra?
- Your phone carrier may charge its normal rate for a forwarded call, the same as forwarding to any other number. Check with your carrier if you're unsure.
- How do I stop forwarding my number to Nuteq?
- Dial *73 from the phone whose calls you forwarded. This cancels the forwarding and your carrier goes back to ringing that phone directly.
