# Google Calendar conflict protection

Connect Google Calendar so Nuteq checks conflicts and mirrors the appointments it manages.

Nuteq remains the owner of appointments. Google Calendar is optional conflict
protection: Nuteq checks busy times before offering or booking a slot, then
adds the Nuteq-managed appointment to your owned Google calendar.

## Connect Google in one step

Open **Calendar → Availability** and choose **Connect Google Calendar**. Sign
in to the Google account that owns the calendar for this business and approve
the focused Calendar permissions. Nuteq selects your primary calendar by
default, so most businesses can stop there.

## Choose another calendar

Open **Manage calendars** when your business uses a separate owned calendar.
Select the calendars Nuteq should check and save. Shared calendars can provide
busy times, but Nuteq only writes events to a calendar the connected account
owns. Event details from Google are never shown in Nuteq; only generic busy
blocks are used for conflict protection.

## What happens after setup

Nuteq checks Google again immediately before an automatic booking. If Google is
temporarily unavailable or the result is unclear, Nuteq leaves the request for
you to review rather than claiming the time is free. Google edits do not
change Nuteq appointments.

Disconnecting stops future Google projections and leaves existing Google events
in place. You can reconnect the same account later.
